Delivery of Babies Herbal Home Remedies and Treatment Tips

The birth of a baby is one of life's most wondrous moments. In about 1-2% of hospital deliveries the mother's pelvis is too small for the baby to be born. This is usually caused by rickets (vitamin D deficiency) which resulted in a misshapen pelvic as the mother', bone structure was being developed. A doctor or midwife generally suspects this complication (called cephalopelvic disproportion) early in pregnancy and can advise against home delivery. The breech position is common in early pregnancy. A breech baby is a baby in the breech position in the uterus. Most babies change position by the time labor begins. By the time of delivery, only about 3% of babies are still breech. Because babies born by cesarean may have difficulty clearing some of the lung fluid and mucus, extra suctioning of the nose, mouth, and throat are often needed. Occasionally, deeper suctioning in the windpipe is required.
