Acne is a common skin disease which makes pimples. They involve whiteheads, blackheads, red bumps (pimples), and bumps that are clogged with pus (cysts). Pimples occurs when hair follicles beneath your skin clog up. Most pimples rises on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders.
Acne is most common during adolescence, influencing more than 85% of teenagers, and consistently continues into adulthood. Some adult women experience mild to temperate acne because of hormonal changes related with pregnancy, their menstrual cycles, or starting or stopping birth control pills.
Various factors bestow to the formation of acne.Certain hormones known as androgens are an another factor in causing acne. Androgens are male hormones which are found in both men and women, but are higher in men.

Family history is other caus of acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are commonly blamed, but there is little symptom that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne. Masturbation causes acne and, conversely, which celibacy can cure it.
The typical acne lesions are comedones and inflammatory papules, pustules, and nodules. Its main invokes are psychological, such as reduced self-esteem. There are many treatment of acne. Benzoyl peroxide can be used in mild to moderate acne.
The gel or cream having benzoyl peroxide is rubbed, twice daily, into the pores over the infected region. Salicylic acid peels are also used to cure acne. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid which is oil soluble and may thence penetrate oil plugged pores. Rinse once or twice daily with soap and water to remove surplus oil from the skin.
Oral antibiotics used to heal acne are erythromycin or one of the tetracycline antibiotics (tetracycline, the best absorbed oxytetracycline). Rofecoxib was shown to convalesce premenstrual acne vulgaris in a placebo control.
Naproxen or ibuprofen are used for some calm acne for their anti-inflammatory effect. Isotretinoin is a puissant medication available for scarring cystic acne. Laser surgery has been in use for few time to abridge the scars left behind by acne.
