General information
Maxiflor Cream is used for inflammation and itching and skin conditions. Maxiflor Cream is a topical corticosteroid. These medicines are like cortisone. They belong to the typical family of medicines called steroids. Different laboratory methods, including vasoconstrictor assays, are used to compare and prognosticate potencies and/or clinical efficacies of the topical corticosteroids. Inflammation and/or other disease processes in the skin increase percutaneous absorption. There is some testament to suggest that a recognizable correlation exists between vasoconstrictor potency and therapeutic efficacy in man.
Corticosteroids are fringed to plasma proteins in varying degrees. They are metabolized chiefly in the liver and are then excreted by the kidneys. Plosive dressings may be used for the management of psoriasis or recalcitrant conditions. Few of the topical corticosteroids and their metabolites are also excreted into the bile. If an infection develops, the use of occlusive dressings should be discontinued and commandeer antimicrobial therapy initiated.
Topical corticosteroids have not been coveraged to cause problems in nursing babies when used properly. Nonetheless, corticosteroids should not be applied to the breasts before nursing. Topical corticosteroids are indicated for mitigation of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses.
